Hey fellas. So I picked up one of BriarBird's pipes he was offering up. The pictures below are the same ones he used. I'm a shitty photographer and the pictures he took reflect the pipe perfectly.
This is one sweet pipe guys. The thing smokes just wonderfully. Perfect draw as far as I'm concerned, I always clench pipes and this one is one that you just forget is even there. Real light feel to it. The bowl's walls are thick. As the pictures portray pretty well. Broke it in with some Brian's Blend and just loved it. Packed the bowl 1/3 full for it's first run and it lasted about 45minutes smoking it real slow while reading. I would not hesitate for an instant to pick up one of BB's pipes if he lists one in a shape that catches your eye. Nice touch on the stamp. Glad he waited to ship it out until he was able to stamp it because it's just sweet ass looking for sure.
Great job bro, I'm really glad I picked this one up and will be waiting patiently to seize my next opportunity at another one of your pieces. Love the pipe. It being as light in the mouth and as solid as it is it just might have to come to Alaska with me next season. I'll reserve it for my night time pipe and not my fishing pipe because it would be a shame to beat it up on stream. But it would be a bigger shame to leave it sitting on the rack at home for 5 months. Cheers to you BriarBird. Great pipe.
