I'm really looking what you've been doing with bamboo lately and I normally don't like bamboo at all. This one is absolutely stunning!

It's not always easy to get a flow going with mixed materials like bamboo and briar, but when it's done well it is striking. I like this pipe! I have a Bob Hayes straight Dublin that combines those two materials with ease. I'm fascinated with the rustication/carving. I have a La Rocca poker, with a fairly big deep bowl, that has similar carving. It struck me when I was shopping for a pipe, and I felt it was a little too folk-art for me, but I finally had to go back and buy it; it just stayed with me. I think it's very cool, and yours is the first pipe finish like it I've seen since.
