Well bonus time rolled around again, and since I didn't actually have to use all of it for bills this year, I figured I'd treat myself!

So here's what I got;
image221-600x297.jpg

2x 50gr McClelland Blue Mountain

1x 50gr McClelland 221b Black Shag

1x 50gr McClelland Deep Hollow

2x 50gr McClelland Virginia Woods

2x 100gr McClelland Frog Morton

2x 50gr Dunhill Deluxe Navy Rolls

1x 50gr Dunhill Nightcap

2x 50gr Lane Crown Achievement

2x 100gr Mac Baren Golden Extra

2x 100gr Mac Baren HH Old Dark Fired

2x 50gr Mac Baren Virginia Flake

1x 50gr Escudo

2x 50gr Orlik Golden Sliced

1x 50gr Capstan Blue Flake

1x 50gr Sam Gawith Navy Flake

3x 50gr Sam Gawith Balkan Flake

2x 50gr Germain Plum Cake

10oz H&H Mazatec
Most definitely the largest order for me so far, at least price wise.
Then, I went and picked up this new Nording "Queen" From the Royal Flush series. This is a BIG pipe, and also has the wildest look of any pipe I own! I'm not big on freehands (and yes, I do consider this to be somewhat of a freehand), but for some reason this one just spoke to me. I smoked it yesterday with some Dunhill DNR. Nice open draw, smokes cool and dry, actually passes a pipe cleaner fairly easy (a real shocker for a 3/4 - full bent pipe). And despite weighing in at 70gr. (the heaviest pipe I own by far), it's actually not bad to clench!

I also bought a Taylor Digital scale (accurate to + or - 1gr.) for keeping track of whats in my jars.

I figured I'd throw in a pic of my IPSD TAD from a couple weeks ago as well, since I don't think I posted anything about it. I kinda consider this one part of my bonus TAD anyway.

Here's what all came in it;

1x 50gr Mac Baren Virginia Flake

1x 100gr Mac Baren Mixture Flake

Sweet niblets that's a solid haul! Way to put that bonus to good use. Plus when they ban online sales that will be considered a wise investment.

I have the same pipe, different finish. I saw it on the Danish site and had to have it. I looked to see if any of the usual domestic on-line pipe sellers had the pipe and only the Danish Pipe Shop had it in the finish I wanted. Smokes great!

Thanks guys! I'm thinking I'll probably make one more large TAD order when I get my tax return. Then I'll probably be done until the fall, that should put me at around 40lbs in the cellar. I'm sure I'll still pick up a tin or two at the B&M from time to time though!

Damn, and I thought Christmas was over! Great looking pipe and I can see what attracted you to it. That is exactly the same type of stem (design) that is used on the Savinelli 'Tigers'. If I made a purchase that big I'd have to sell my first born (which would be somewhat difficult seeing that she is 41). Also, a great looking and accurate scale albeit I don't quite understand its purpose? Do you mix/blend your own tobacco, and if so, do the weights of the tobacco have to be that precise?

SG Navy Flake is one of my (if not absolute) favorite smokes. Very nice haul.
Love the stem on that pipe as well.
