Blue and green stains had faded into the background, mostly available as older

inventory that had lost its luster. But take a look at smokingpipes.com Savenelli

pages under the Obi-one series, where blue and green stains are now featured!

Everything old is new again. Let's see if they catch on. Let's see if you like them!

Last Christmas my wife gave me a Chacom green stain straight billiard made

especially for Iwan Ries, and I believe it was the last one they had, probably from

back in the early two-thousands.

I actually like green stain as the highlight of a contrast stain... But these two pipes just font do it for me. Funnily enough I'm more out off but the texture than the colour.

My favorite green stain is the one on the rim of my 2014 Peterson St. Patrick's Day pipe.

Fashion is cyclic and that doesn't just refer to clothing. One can only see the same thing so many times before there becomes a natural appeal to something different. I love seeing pipes of all shapes, colors and styles. I'd say that right now, there seems to be something on the market to catch almost anyone's eye.

Yeah, Eric, I looked long and hard at those. Joe Case did a poker for St. Pat's that I loved for the same reason.

ravkesef, those St. Pat's Petes this year were excellent, really interesting use of the green. I hadn't

seen the Canadian version before, and it looks especially good. Thanks for posting.

Green pipe that I made for politicalmonster. Has a yellow contrast stain, undercoat with a blue green top stain to pull out the grain. Gives it the nice forest green color.

I have a Peterson Irish Sea shape 69. Beautiful to look at, but I only smoke it on St. Paddy's Day in honor of my grandfather.
