So it's February and we are in better shape than this time last year when we had 60" of snow cover at this time and more on the way, yesterday it was 60 f out sort of the polar opposite of last year as we have 0" on the ground.
Another milestone for me is February is when I was born so I just had to grab this Snail Grade Gabriele smooth bent egg pipe with black bamboo shank and ebonite stem.

Happy birthday! Lovely pipe. Gabriele was new to me until I stumbled across one of his estate pipes about 6 weeks ago. It turned out to be one of my absolute best pipes. He doesn't have the reputation his work deserves, imo. I'm having a bit of a love affair with Morta presently but when I do buy my next briar, you can bet it will be a Gabriele.

Bamboo can look somewhat patched in, but this is an example of how it should be used, a really graceful combining of materials.

fish, beautiful pipe. So are you going to buy new pipe for every day of your birthday month. That would be very impressive. If you are can I pick out a pipe for you?

LOL Harris, wouldn't try anything remotely such as that. I can count on one hand pipes I have on my short list at this point, not saying something interesting won't fly into the radar but I have a very nice selection to choose from what I wish to smoke and that includes tobacco, cheers.

fish', you have one of the primo collections on Forums, or anywhere. You really have "a jewelers eye" for artisanal pipes.

That's a beautiful pipe, congrats on the acquisition. We share the same birth month, haha. Even though you've got no snow on the ground, I'm sure that gorgeous pipe will keep you warm. Happy belated birthday, if it's already passed.
