I have never owned one. They look nice and I found from the forum that some of the smokers have had experiences with them. What do you guys think?

I picked up a Big Ben Lectura churchwarden from PC, listed in the hardcopy catalogue at $79; shown on the website at $49; and sold on a 24-hour discount with a coupon code for $39! I'd wanted a Dutch pipe forever, and snapped that up pronto. The Dutch are famous for their meticulous workmanship and this pipe illustrates that, and has one of the larger bowls I have seen on a churchwarden, plus it's light weight, and it fills out my leather churchwarden case with my Sav 601 pictured in my avatar. PC is perhaps the most price competitive online retail site if you follow their sales regularly. The guy who does their pipe buying really makes a sport of it and unearths stock that is both good quality and that can be sold at excellent prices. They still have Stanwell pipes for $49.99, in the brushed brown and brushed black series. If you buy your pipes on a budget, they are likely to help you out from time to time.

I've seen them around the shops but don't have one. That price is a touch better than 30% off...

I used to spend a lot for my hobbies, mostly for collecting Zippos. Unfortunately, I cannot do this right now. I am a beginner in pipe smoking, I have ordered few corn cobs online, to taste some tobacco. Throughout my lifetime, I am planning to buy Petersons, Vauens, Savinellis for sure, but not now I guess. So, you are right, I am buying them on a budget. Thanks for the info by the way, always love your comments :)

I'm a huge fan of the brand, everyone in the office has a few and they all love them. They smoke swell. Here my favorite the #702 I always have it on me:
