I am looking for a good BULK VA for blending. Preferably NOT FLAKE since I plan on pressing it anyway. I am looking to create my own blends as well as "tweak" the "best of the rest" blend and then press. Planning on having BW/OB, BCA, Kentucky Dark Fired, Latakia, Perique, Orientals, on hand to moderate as needed but what could be a few good VAs to have on hand as well in case I need some sweetness or color (make that flake look "purty"). And looking to keep the price on the lower end. Sutliff, Lane, C&D, Newminster, etc.

I usually blend with McClellands 5100 Red Virginia, for pleasing flavor, quality tobacco, at a good price. I really only mix -- no aging, heat or pressure, but 5100's it.

For a ready rubbed Virginia, it's one of the best blenders I've tried.
If you are planning to press it anyway just get some whole Leaf from Whole Leaf Tobacco.
+1 ... Their Red FCV is really good!
