Hi Guys, new to pipe smoking. Rotating between a variety of different pipes, mainly Petes. When I started smoking the system pipes I used to empty the reservoir on each smoke, but then I started blowing all that crap into the bowl and not cleaning as often. This hasn't proven detrimental and some of my pipes are smoking a little sweeter. Thing is, I've been at it for months and they only flash sweet now and then. How long does it take until I can pick up one of these pipes and be guaranteed a cool, sweet smoke? It's driving me (and my wife) mad. I usually smoke a pipe for a couple of days (5-6 bowls) and then clean the stem with Vodka and the rest with kitchen roll and pipe cleaners.
