So here's a few I've been tinkering with in what little spare I've had lately.

All of these pipes seem very well constructed, with excellent engineering. I've yet to find a fill on any of the smooth pipes!
Here's a little Ehrlich billiard (no mod. #). I've had good luck with Ehrlichs in the past, and I'm sure these will be great as well!
Here's the before pics;

And here's the after pics;

Here's another Ehrlich, a "332" straight billiard.

Here's a St. James "33" straight billiard ( a Comoy's sub-brand)

All of these turned out OK I think, but I still need to touch up the stem logos on a couple of them.

Thanks Lurch! I appreciate you giving me the opportunity to pick some of these gems up from you!

I've still got a couple more to do from you, and another one from the antique store.
Edit: thanks papipeguy!

I went pipe hunting yesterday and came up empty handed. They are getting harder to find. I can't wait to see how the rest of your estates turn out.

Very nice work Petes03. Congrats on some nice looking billiards. Were you able to keep your Playboy emblem on the stem? I couldn't tell if it was still there. Very cool pipe.

Nice work! I recently started doing more in depth restorations myself and there are few things in this hobby more rewarding than bringing an old briar back to life.

I love before and after on restorations. One of my favorite parts of this hobby is bringing a pipe back. One suggestion @Pete03, if you care for having the nomenclature on stems visible again (like on the playboy pipe) I've used white-out to fill it back in. Just give the stem a light wipe to get the white-out that doesn't make it into the stamp. I've done it a few times with pretty good results.

Thanks guys!
@gary. Yes, the emblem is still very visible, it just needs to be filled in with white.
@bragg. Thanks for the tip! I've used white nail polish in the past, but I've had limited success with it.

I've actually thought about the whiteout, just never tried it.

@petes03 At the antique store where I got the Grabow bowl, there is a large Ehrlich Pipes advertising sign for sale. I wasn't able to see the price, but it is a pretty big sign. I wouldn't have anywhere to put it if I bought it.

Well done, nothing more enjoyable than taking a crusty dirty estate and getting it like new again. Did not know about the white out trick. Nice before and afters. The grain is really nice on em once you got all the dirt off.

@petes03, First, thanks for posting all those pictures. this is my favorite kind of thread!
I worked on a Jet Stream pipe yesterday where the logo on the stem had been worn. I had success by using a sharp toothpick dipped in flat white enamel model paint. I used the other sharp end to scrape away any paint that went awry. After drying, a final coat of wax and it's good.

@petes03. I am not trying to hijack your thread I promise. haha I had some errands to run today so I was able to pop in and take a pic of that sign. It would look good on someones wall.
