I did two pipes last night.
I sat on the deck facing East with the full moon over Tampa Bay, and I could see Jupiter and the double-star Aquilae. I read the book, Pipe - The Art and Lore of a Great Tradition while smoking.
The first pipe was a Bjarne Smooth with Mac Baren HH Vintage Syrian and the second pipe was a Cristiano Sandblast with Mac Baren Mixture Scottish Blend.
Then I watched The Lord of the Rings until 1 am.

I changed the shoutbox because there were problems with the other one, but now there are problems with this one too.
I have been smoking Mac Baren HH Acadian Perique all day, including in my new Erik Nording Freehand that I bought directly from him at the show today.

I love it. It has a little bit of sourness and a little bit of spice which is a tasty combination. There is no casing added at all. It is only tobacco.
The other two HH's have some "top flavor" as Mac Baren likes to call it. Mature Virginia has a balsamic vinegar top flavor and Vintage Syrian has some top flavor, but I don't remember what. They go like this ...
1. HH Mature Virginia - most top flavor
2. HH Vintage Syrian - little bit of top flavor
3. HH Acadian Perique - no top flavor.
I like them all a lot, and in reverse order, Acadian Perique best.
