I have to say I spend more time on here than I do at work...when I should be working anyway.

If you can't pack it, light it, and smoke it then why do it. It's a dieing art that must be rekindled in all of us as fortold by our forefathers.

Words to live by for all pipe smokers.

    So, you noticed.

    Indeed.

If I am not at work, I am usually on here. The type of work that I do doesnt really lend itself to forum browsing, but as long as there is a computer handy I am here chatting with you fellas and ladies.

For the most part, if I'm home, and awake, I'm on here. I guess that qualifies.

I'm even a Mod on another forum, but I haven't posted half as much there. That is proof that there's much to enjoy about Pipes Magazine and the Forum. Everyone here really makes an effort to get along and ensure everyone is having a good time. I also like the fact that blenders, shop owners and pipe-makers get on here and mix it up with all of the pipe enthusiasts. It gives me a more personal connection with their products and businesses.

Since I've been at the marina for the winter I try to get on the forum for at least a little while every day.

I can get lots of posts, because just like speaking, I save time by commenting without bothering to think.

I keep this open on a tab in my browser at work. When there is a lull in the work stuff, I'm reading in here. I don't how ever post while I'm at work, save that for when I'm at home in the evening.

I fear my enthusiasm flags when real work is demanded of me.

    Guilty as charged

"The fact is, squire, the moment a man takes to a pipe, he becomes a philosopher. It's the poor man's friend; it calms the mind, soothes the temper, and makes a man patient under difficulties.
