I'm 55 and just started down this path recently. And for some reason it appears I am trying to make up for what.. lost time? Years and years of it apparently. I can't seem to stop. I am spending more money than I have. I am buying pipes I don't need, and tobacco I don't need. But I want them. I have gotten better on the pipes, but then just moved on to the tobaccos tins on the "bay". Just like when I started. First a briar, then another.. 22 later I decided I wanted to try a Meerschaum. 6 meers later and I'm broke, so I decided I have enough pipes. On to tobaccos! here we go.. full speed ahead! Wtf!
Are there other newbies out there that are older that are having a problem like me putting the breaks on? I'm divorced 16 yrs ago, so I don't have a wife to stop me.
How do you slow this thing down ... or do you?
