Yup. Not only survived, but returned spontaneously to full function from moderately severe effects a week after the affected brain tissue was dead and gone. Recovery researchers still contact me from time to time to gather info about my lifestyle, background, etc. They know it's a rewiring thing, but have no idea why it occurs only a handful of times per year around the world.
I had a TIA on Sunday. It scared the shit out of me because I knew what it was. 36 hours in the hospital and everything came back clean. I was lucky in that the whole thing lasted maybe 4 min.
They tell me to expect more.....probably....someday. I just assume I know how I will one day die. Its spooky and to be honest, it kind of creeps me out.

I've had a couple of TIAs if that counts. It was after my first that I gave up on RYO and moved over to the pipe...best thing I've done in years.
