This one sort of follows my retort question from yesterday. Are there any special considerations for retorting pipes with non-removable stingers such as Kaywoodies? I will be using my retort a bit this weekend and want to be ready for some of the possible things that might go wrong.
Thanks again,

Sou

Without haveing an open blow hole you might build up pressure, wear glasses, oven mitt on hand holding tube, hold tube where rubber stopper and glass meet very tightly, just be careful. The old Cajun

Thank you sir. I agree on the protective gear. Flying glass is not my idea of fun.
As for the pressure, that's what I am worried about. Not necessarily going into the shank, though that could be dicey, but coming back into the tube is where I see the most problems occurring.

Stig you control the pressure by how long you put it over burner, try small shots, you can feel it, take it off heat if it pressureing too fast. The old cajun
