I pulled the trigger on another Britannia pipe. These are excellent smokers; great value for the money - very light aged briar, lucite stem with briar colouring (which doesn't show in the picture). Feel great in the hand; very dry smoke. I highly recommend them for your collection.

Here's what pipesandcigars.com has to say about them:
"Britannia Pipes are making a comeback after a long absence. Traditional English Shapes offered with large bowls. Excellent value for the Dunhill smoker who just doesn't want to pay for it. After all a Dunhill of similar size would be 10 times the price!"

I bought a Britannia at my local Tinder Box on an impulse, a 1/8 bent Dublin smooth.

Yes, nice light weight but good sized Group 4 bowl with impressively thick sides.

Every time I smoke it, I discover what a good pipe it is.

I think that all of us on this forum know that Bradley is far from ignorant -- he has been kind enough to share his wisdom with all of us.
But I'm glad you enjoyed the show - I enjoyed doing it, and Brian is a great host and interviewer.

That picture sure looks familiar. :)

I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying the Britannias!
