I came across this article just recently...it simply infuriated me.
I don't live in Utah any more (moved to away 12 years ago), but my first few pipes were purchased at Jeanie's back in '97-98. I'm sorry to see it going out of business.
A 51% tax increase on existing inventory is absolutely appalling! I think what pisses me off the most though, is that the Senator from North Ogden (who was the chief Senate sponsor of the bill) admits that he hadn't read and understood the bill prior to voting on it!!!!

Isn't this what these people are paid to do?
Good to know that he doesn't have a guilty conscience about it though...after all, it is the evil tobacco.
