Sometimes it seems like the Danish pipe makers get all the credit for making the highest quality hand made pipes.

However, there are some great American Pipe Makers that put a lot of skill, knowledge and expertise into what they do.

That is the subject of our newest co-op ad campaign from Bob Swanson (Perry White Pipes), Dr. Bob Kiess (Dr. Bob Pipes), Joe Nelson (Old Nellie Pipes) and Joe Skoda (Skoda Pipes).

    Here's one of the ads:

    Check out their pipes:

(Still waiting on Joe Skoda's site).

Wonderful makers Kevin . I have been meaning to get down to meet Joe for some time. He isn't all that far away.

Buy a pipe too and tell him it was because you saw the ad on PipesMagazine.com.

Got to love those American pipe makers! I have met a Joe Nelson and Bob Swanson, they both make great pipes and are friendly and helpful people.

Oh dear...it's dangerous when you look at a pipe and begin calculating how to explain yourself to the credit card companies, the utilities and the landlady....

    Doggone it Kevin!
There you go again. You just HAD to get me to look at more pipes. The temptation is almost too great to bear.

But thanks. I wasn't aware of a couple of these makers. If it wasn't that Christmas has just passed, and I am short of funds at present, I would have ordered one from Oldnelliepipes this morning. As it is, I just put it in my favorites for a possible later purchase. That is if it's still available. Man, i am so pipe poor.

I'm hoping to get a pipe from Bob Swanson within the next month or two.

Awesome! If we get any of the credit for helping you make that decision, please let Bob know.

I personally think JM Boswell makes a wonderful pipe!

There's lots of great US makers out there...Mark Tinsky springs to mind as a "would love to have'....But I have had a bad experience with one via a forum pipe......no names, we all gotta pay the rent...shame really, makes me more determined to buy from another and right the wrong.

I really like Dr. Bob's work. Bit of a stretch financially, but his rusticated bulldog is very tempting. I'd add Elliot Nachwalter to the list as well. One of my favorites. vtpipes has a slightly bent billiard variation that I covet.
