I'm making pipe #2! I'm going for a bent one now and was wondering what stain would look good with that whiteish stem? Also, if I buy this stem, will I be able to bend it?

Sure,it can be bent if you have a way to heat it evenly. Heat gun works great.

Get the stem and try to match some of the color in it.

That lighter stem looks darker than whitish to me, but it's in the eye of the beholder. I have a similar stem

on a Mountain Laurel pipe with a rich walnut finish with slight red overtones, and it matches to perfection.

I think this would work with briar just as well.
