Im not anywhere near the restoration artist as many of you, but I did make a decent new smoker out of this elcheapo.

I bought a pipe rack I liked and some "junk" pipes were included.

Grading (ascending): 1 to 5 stars

Early pipes have seven pointed brass stars, middle run have five points and later pipes are stamped with coloured gold stars.

Lee seconds: Briar Lee , Gold Coast

Yeah, I like the texturing on the brim too. It gives it visual interest with the limited briar available.

Very nice save, Sir! I have a three-star Lee Limited Edition saddle-bit bulldog which I purchased for $8.00 several years ago at an antique mall. Despite its lack of pedigree it is attractive (has some lovely flame-grain) and an excellent smoker.
