For some reason my wife and I had a better than usual St. Patricks day. We both have some Irish blood in our lines, I've got a maternal grandmother that was a Kennedy, and my wife's mother was a McMullen. We never make a big deal out of it, but this year somehow we ended up with one of the best lean corned beef briskets we've ever had. (from Walmart no less) The cabbage, potatoes and carrots were cooked perfect too. Usually something is out of whack, doesn't get cooked right, or the cooks are over cooked themselves with Irish whisky. Not this year, just Guinness Draft. Afterwards, a nice smoke with some Petersons 3Ps for me, and some Hyde Park for my wife. It's quiet and calm out so this may be one to remember. Gotta enjoy what you can, while you can.
Hope everyone else had a great day today, Irish style or not! :puff pipe:

I like this kind of threads, I call them slice of life threads. I'm glad that you enjoyed the day with your wife. Every pipe smoking man wishes for a pipe smoking wife I guess, lucky you. Thanks for sharing.
