I'd like to take advantage of the sale at SP today to stock up on some Virginia. I'm looking at Newminster 701 Straight Virginia and PS Virgina. I haven't smoked either of these so I'm looking for some input on these or others anyone has tried.

PS 7Va long cut? If so it is real dandy to me. I like it so much I have 4 lbs on hand now.

Haven't tried the Newminster but PS Virginia Long Cut is a nice mild easy smoking straight Virginia.

And don't forget McClelland 5100!

I didn't care for the Newminster all that much. It wasn't that it was "bad", I just didn't like it enough to bump it up to the "must have" list. (Which is all I'm cellaring for now)

Correct Roth. I finished about four ounces of it but I won't plan on reordering it. I haven't decided where I land on Kentuckys yet. I haven't isolated it yet, but they seem to bother my mouth (and tongue) like burleys do, but to a lesser degree.
Cavendish however does not seem to and I think that's slightly odd since it can be made from burley also.
Dunno.
