A Gift From Dave/AKA Weezel

Received a package yesterday, 2 big Briars, one is a Charatans Make Special and the other is made in London but I can not make out the name. Dave had explained in a private message that they belonged to a Friends Father was given them , had them for over 40 yrs. He explained he doesn't smoke big pipes and wanted to see them used. Well Dave yesterday the Special had a fire in the hole and was a lovely porch smoke. Thank you so much I will cherish them.

Dave gifted me two GBD's and I restored that Charatan as a token of my appreciation. It is a big-honking pipe! I restored it in 2012, along with three other pipes from Dave's fathers-friends collection.

Al that pipe I believe is the one he gave me. You did a beautiful job on it and all I did was a light clean up and ream, retort and it was ready to go. I smoked McBarens H&H Highland Blend in it for 2 hrs and watched PMon kill pine cones. Thank you also Al.
