To go along with the nice rack I purchased, from ssjones, for my wife (um, her pipes)...figured SWMBO also deserved:

She's always liked the bulldog shape - and we've always had luck w/Sav's being great smokers - so this one fit into the budget.

She has been seriously wanting to try the Peterson 3 P's

Figured I'm already buying her a few gifts, this is a blend I wanted to try, so this one's for me, though think she's had interest in trying it as well.

I think we almost need a separate section for TAD/PAD, because I'm not 100% sure if this is General Discussion or General Pipe Smoking Discussion...eh, I'll go w/General Discussion !

    Your a good man Paul!
I've tried to get my wife to take up the pipe, no joy.

Mebbe if I show her this thread, "See honey. See what kind of gifts we can get each other..."

Same here... my wife likes the tin note, room note and the lingering "mustache note", but doesn't care to take part. Oh well. That would be a fantastic way to solve the birthday, valentine's day and mother's day problem of gift buying!

Let us know how they went over!

The irony is she smoked a pipe before we met - but much like myself, for one reason or another it was occassional thing.

But it wasn't until recently we both decided - let's try and give up the cigs and go with the much better (i.e. flavorful) pipe tobacco.

I've tried to get her to join the forum, but her response is: I spend too much time uploading / editing photo's by time I'm done, I want off the computer. Whereas, the forum is my home page and I flip back and forth between work and the forum almost all day (and night).

And in the event hobie reads this: I will do my utmost best to post a pic of her smoking the pipe - but she's worse than I am, photography is our jobs, we prefer to be behind the camera, not in front.

But I will update ya'll when I give it to her - she's been under the weather and feeling generally blah lately...so I'm sure this will help turn the tide.

Good man! I am sure it is all for her

Mason jars and bale top jars, mason jars and bale top jars.... that is all!

No, my name is spelled 'Luxury Yacht' but it's actually pronounced 'Throatwobbler Mangrove'.

One should always give what you would want yourself.

That's nice, but in my family we instituted the policy of - it's your birthday, you gimme a gift. I like Savs!

Exactly!! Well with the tobacco anyway - I'm not a fan of the bulldog shape. I just got tired of her using my pipes...I mean my tobacco pipes.
