Which of these two cars would want to own: a Shelby Mustang or a Corvette. While it is doubtful that I will ever be able to afford such a car it's nice to dream. Right now I am leaning towards the former of the two.

Earlier today I was standing next to the 2013 662hp Shelby. I feel my answer is clear, but maybe I shouldn't have drooled.

The 2013 Shelby hands down for performance although I've never really cared for the newer mustang look. Corvette wins in the aesthetics department. So that's my unanswer and I'm sticking to it.

Depends on the year. I'm more of a Chev man myself. If the Corvette is a 57, 63, 65, 68 or 69 I want the Vette. Just add the option of a 68 Camaro and make it easy on me = )

Shelby. Never liked Vettes for the most part. Earliest I've ever driven was a late 60's early 70's and never liked the sitting on the floor feel of them. G1

No German, Italian, or British representation? I'd choose neither and keep my bank account full for an SLS AMG.

My buddy at work built this Factory Five Cobra. He has about $20k it as it sits, doing all the work himself. It has a 5.0L mustang, 5-speed powertrain in it. It is a hoot to drive, you cannot keep the rear end in place, just steer with the throttle. Pretty good bang-for-the-buck fun factor on this one.

Well is your taking about the new cars, like a 2012 shelby cobra mustang, or a 2012 vet, if I can pick the vet, zr1, ill take the vet hands down. If we are talking classics, like original shelby cobra or original vet, ill tke the cobra, if for the only reason that its worth literally thousands up to millions of dollars lol

Grandparents won't let me park in their driveway unless its a ford. Our family has a long line of ford employees. So definitely a Shelby!

+1 to Al

those Cobra kit cars are great because you can build them the way you want and drive the snot out of them, unlike the real Cobra which would cost you millions and probably be scared to drive it haha.
