I was able heat and reform the bit on this 81. With hot vulcanite and a carefully crafted paper clip I lifted the dent from the inside. Finished with a needle file and wetsanding.


Same treatment for this Eldorado 37L.



No before shots of this Starfire zulu. It was in pretty good condition upon arrival. I removed the clear coat, lightened the stain, and general stem de-ox and shine.

The contrast on that Zulu is incredible.

Those pipes all look better than new after your careful refurbs, Dave, and the pipes themselves are sure to be fantastic smokers.

You must have added 'material' to the button on that Rhodesian?

Great job Dave. I've also lifted similar dents, you have to be super careful to not punch thru the vulcanite. I typically use a pointy needle file and try to find the largest, tapered flat blade that will fit into the button.

The restoration of that top pipe is just incredible. :clap:
And the Zulu is just beautiful...that grain is unreal.
