I commissioned a pipe from JT Cooke during the week. While emailing back and forth I had learned he is always on the lookout for an alternate wood for pipes, showed him EJames Mullberry pipe, he said he liked the pipe and the grain, ending the correspondence with Nice Pipe. Ed take a Bow!

Bradley, I'm glad you pulled the trigger. I know you have been mulling it over.
What commission time span did he give you?
Congrats.

Sure! Why not! Would be interesting to see what he does with it--if he decided to make a pipe from it.

Save a piece of that for me!

That's really cool. Congrats Ed.
BTW Bradley, Didn't the wife say no pipes in 2014? Hopefully you commissioned it last year.

Just finished Whitney's book "Old Briar". Ed is mentioned in it - we have our own famous guy (besides being nice and helpful)!
Does anyone have a pipe made out of manzanita wood?
Can't wait for the pictures, Bradley
