First, a bit of music. This is the unofficial anthem of Latvia, sometimes referred to as the hymn of Lativa, and it is a pretty nice bit of music. There are better versions but this one is a bit special since it is from the Latvian Song and Dance Festival where thousands get together to sing and dance. A choir festival that fills a stadium with a choir has got to be a sight to see and I'll be singing in the next one.

The singing tradition is pretty amazing here and choirs are like weeds...the're everywhere. Speaking of singing, the wifey and I took part in a Latvian celebration at the outdoor museum and got to sing in an 18th century church that was beautiful. We haven't taken many pictures but here are a few. There's one of the singing and one that was posed. It was a blast.
And another part of the outdoor museum.
There is no smoking in the museum but a walk along the nearby lake is just another great excuse for a bowl of nightcap with a beautiful lady by my side.
