I don't always agree with him but his thoughts are quite interesting. This is one of my favorites that I recently rediscovered so I just thought I'd share. Let's not forget, he was a pipe smoker too.

Wow, I needed that. It's been a long 20 years(half my life) doing things I do not want to do so I can have a better quality of life for my children, and myself in perhaps another 20 years. Now that all my bills are paid and my savings is steadily growing I just wonder if it was all worth it. Sure Daddy has money but what sort of life do they have anyway without Daddy? It really makes a man think.

That, friends, is something we all need to ponder. I deliberately chose a path that made family time more important than "stuff". The most important thing you can do for your kids is to be there for them. Love them - support them. Let them be who they are. If you are there for them when they are small, and give them lots of love, they'll probably turn out OK.
