Arrived in a presentation box along with certificate of authenticity and care instructions. Seems a bit better constructed than the original. Very happy with the purchase!

Mine it's taking its sweet time.

I went for the light one too. The dark kinda appealed to me, but not as much; and the dichroic one was just, well, kinda weird.

Mine took a few days longer than a normal MM purchase, but all looks well.

The 2015 RC is a work horse, and have high hopes for this one. Likely though will put this one up until Christmas.

Great pipe! I'm not so patiently waiting for a MM Charles Towne Cobbler to arrive.

Yep, just like the original, but the stem is a lot more secure in the new one.

The two toned Reverse Calabash I received is interesting - the dark cob is more of a light grey, so the change is very subtle.

A comparison shot. 2015 on top, 2018 on bottom. Not a big size difference, but I do like the Danish stem on the 2015 better.

Received an email from Marilyn. Replacement stems are available from MM for $5 each.

So, can you replace the 2018's default stem with a Danish one?

Yeah, mine is due to arrive tomorrow. I got the two tone.

Forgive my ignorance crash, but why not clench?

Not all pipes are designed to.

No. Like the 2015, they are glued into a hardwood plug and friction fit into the cooling chamber.

Chasingembers has you covered, that's why not to clench. Just a public service announcement. Nothing negative.

I was also impressed. What a gorgeous cob! This thing is going to get some serious use. I snagged another one.

I went with the 2 tone, I rebuilt my 2015 RC after the glue failed, no problems since and I upgraded to a Danish Style Stem I purchased.

Well, I finally got mine (#120) to-day. I expected the rear chamber to be larger, actually. Looks so tiny that I'm wondering if I could use my Vauens sans the Dr. Perl filter as impromptu reverse calabash pipes too.

The bowl is cavernous! Deeper than my Brigham volcano's even, although only by a mite. This pipe might not see much use, after all.

What would be the best blends to smoke in it? The ones that normally burn hot?

Usually the ones that bite or burn a bit harsh, but any blend can be enjoyed in them.

I'll be ordering one just to clench and prove all you nay-sayers wrong.

I just ordered a light and a dark. I'm a hard core clencher, so I'll see how long the stem lasts, then have Ric at Briarville make me new ones.

The stems actually have a habit of falling out under weight.
