Not unlike many of you out there, I too would like to acquire a Birth Year Dunhill.
Having an affinity for Bent Bulldogs, one of these would be my preference. But with all of that being said, I'd just like to find a reasonable deal on a 63.

Make sure the pipe has a date code. Lot of sellers just see Dunhill and nothing more. No 3 or 4 date code means it aint a 63.

Smokers Haven has a '63 120 listed, but the nomenclature picture sure looks like a 2 (1962) to my eye. You'd think they would know better....

One second look, the specs show a 2 & 3, so they may be right.(so they probably DO know better)

That prince is a nice one, and not a bad price. In 1963, I was a junior in high school.

Al, I think there is a small (year indicating sized) 3 between the 2 and the end of England and the circled 4 for group size.
That would mean it is a '62 sold in '63, right? I recognize it is a weird place to tap in an extra number.

For a recent Christmas, my lovely bride tracked down a BY Dunhill for me (1960 Group 5 bulldog) with mkelaw-pipes.com
He was tremendously helpful in her quest and steered her to an excellent pipe at a fair price.
