Dave Neeb came back from Florida this week and mailed me this 1957 Dunhill I bought from him last month. This pipe's condition is even better than I expected and Dave Wolff did a superb job carving the new Dunhill stem. I'm very pleased.

Congrats—That's a nice looking Dunhill! Stem looks great too.

That is a great stem job, cool!
For some reason I can't see the pipe. The sight comes up but where the pipe is suppose to be is blank. I see the rest of the sight , specs and whatnot... anyway congrats on a 1957 Dunhill.

I tried the link I posted here and it works for me -- sorry you're having problems, Irish.
Great looking pipe. Good luck with it.
Great looking pipe Roth, you are like me a smoker, replacement stem as long as it is done well doesn"t bother me, just bought a 1965 Tanshell Poker, could of got a 75 for about 60$ cheaper , but 67 on back is worth the extra money, will post pic when I get it. The old cajun

LOL yep, right on, Bradley. True, there are varying opinions of this and many folks I do respect disagree, but I prefer old Dunhills (pre-1968), early Bill Taylor Ashtons, pre- Lane era Charatans, etc.
I'm looking forward to checking out your newest treasure!
Very nice pipe from the Dunhill's golden years. First class stem job . Roth, I'm an old man (75) and I appreciate vintage pipes and Latakia mixtures. Congratulations, Cezario
Thanks guys!
Cezario, I'm no spring chicken either (65), but there's a lot to like about being "old" -- for example, I think I know a great deal more now about what I like and why -- I'm not super smart, it's simply that over the years, certain information has "stuck" and I can now actually get what I want without having to worry so much about making a bad decision or the budget.
What an fantastic pipe... and one hell of a job on the stem.
Bet its one sweet smoke!
Yep Captain -- smoked my first bowl in it earlier and it's quite fantastic. I'm thinking that this Dunnie will be the perfect flake pipe.
I agree with your point, Roth. I appreciate your's , Old Cajun and Foggy Mountain opinions in this Forum. I'm old and more conservative than Attila, the Hun from pipes to politics. Excuse my poor English . Best wishes from Rio, Cezario.
Nice pipe Sir. At 65 things stuck, at 65.5 they are unsticking.
Dave N is gold in my book, and so is that Dunhill. What a great shape and a fine way to get into a birth year Dunnie, without breaking the bank. Dave's site is the only one I've ever seen where the pix can't be reposted, but the link works fine for me. Enjoy that beauty!
Nice pipe Roth! I'm glad it finally arrived. How does she smoke?

Couldn't be happier.

Oh I missed that post. Glad it's gonna be a keeper for ya Roth.
Very nice pipe! Let us know how she smokes.
Thanks.
