Just sharing an old purchase in my Dunhill Collection - The Dunhill is stamped "MADE IN ENGLAND3" (underlined) and has patent numbers which date it to 1953. The pipe is in good condition except for a very small crack on the left side of the bowl which appears to have been repaired. The stem is replacement.

Albert Einstein was once quoted as saying, “I believe that pipe smoking contributes to a somewhat calm and objective judgment in all human affairs.” One of the reasons behind this statement is that pipe smoking is meant to be a slow leisurely activity. It takes patience to smoke a pipe. Unlike cigarettes and cigars, there is a certain amount of technique to smoking a pipe. Where cigars and cigarettes can just be picked up, lit and puffed on, pipes require the development of a technique in order to get the best smoking experience.

Thanks Al, still healing. Two pesky wounds wont heal near my skin graft.

    Cheers,

I love it! That grain is amazing! I like it even better with the crack!

Nice looking pipe and grain. As long as it's a good smoker that crack would be fine with me. Feel better!!

    KEEP ON PUFFING!!!

Too bad about the crack. I have a group 4 twin of that pipe, but the grain on yours is 10x better. Great pipe.

    Thanks Gentlemen,

I love the flaws in these pipes, infact I might have a unique 7 day "flawed" set soon.

    Cheers,

7 day flawed set would be awesome! Whats the story of the beauty that's holding the pipe up?

@didmauw I have 3 flawed Dunhills and 3 flawless. Will be posting their pictures together when I finally get them from the US. A few are in restoration and others are just with a friend who is holding them for me.

    Cheers,
    Chris
