Found a really old 1948 "C.S.S. pipe club contest" winner trophy in my grand fathers attic. Has the names Burton Jay- 1:10 05, 5-13-1948 and John Parsons- 47:45, 3-29-1949. Its made of brass and Pewter and is a really interesting piece. I will post a pic as soon as I can. Really just interested in what the C.S.S. pipe club was? Thanks for all the help!

He passed and we are going through his belongings. He was an avid pipe smoker and he has had it for as long as I can remember. Like i said I would just to know what the C.S.S pipe club was.

Could the C.S.S stand for C.? Slow Smokers Pipe Club...since there seem to be times listed. I've done a competition like that before. Awesome trophy.

My guess was close to yours Voorhees...

Competition or Competitive Slow Smoke
I love a good intense... slow smoke.

It ain't easy to put up a good time against others.

My current best is about 1 hour 45 minutes.
