I'd definitely buy it.......but the shipping costs $150. That's highway robbery.

Yeah, but I bet $150 shipping from Europe won't cover a $10k loss.
I'll probably just fly over and bring it back as a carry on.

$1K a pipe, less cost of frame, plus shipping.

If I didn't have a wrap around porch project coming up, I'd buy it. Which shape number is this?

That's a lovely bunch of pipes. Way to rich for my blood, however.

I've got a big dog that loves to chew. Don't have a a stick of furniture left. He ate it all. I think I'll buy it for him to chew. I'm guessing he goes through the 10 pipes in about 5 days.

    Which shape number is this?

That’s a #39, Zulu. Usually with silver bands.

That’s all you Embers. I know how much you like the Savinelli 904. Looks to be about the same shape huh?

I’d be all over that set, but there’s no #55, so maybe next time!

I don't think I'd want to smoke them. This would be a display piece for sure

Wait, they haven't been smoked? Then how do you know that they work?

That's a beautiful set! I love the silver work on these. I have 1997 and 1998. Wish I could grab the full set but too rich for my blood.

I've seen this set for sale for months. Like so many collections, some appeal to me and others not so much.

10 POY Castello's plus a Castello display case for 10K is a pretty reasonable price. Each pipe carries an SRP over $1K. The last Castello display case / cabinets I had were a decade ago and they, were well used, and sold for well over $2500.00 each. Wish I had 10K just sitting around to spend.

For that money you could buy 6 or 7 tins of McClellands.

If I had the money, i have enough contacts in Italy to look at the deal and make sure I wasn't getting screwed. So would any other serious Castello collector I know. At this level people tend to know what they are doing.

$10k for these pipes is CHEAP !! I would have asked for $2000 per pipe atleast.

Albert Einstein was once quoted as saying, “I believe that pipe smoking contributes to a somewhat calm and objective judgment in all human affairs.” One of the reasons behind this statement is that pipe smoking is meant to be a slow leisurely activity. It takes patience to smoke a pipe. Unlike cigarettes and cigars, there is a certain amount of technique to smoking a pipe. Where cigars and cigarettes can just be picked up, lit and puffed on, pipes require the development of a technique in order to get the best smoking experience.

The truck sounds better. However, I do admire Embers' 904's and their similar shape.
