Thanks for the info, pitchfork. I own a cased set of four ADP silver banded billiards with both amber and vulcanite stems. The bands are hallmarked 1907. Also, the ADP pipe plays a small part in the Sherlock Holmes' story "The Silver Blaze." i'll try to post photos of the set later. Thanks again for the information on Adolph David Posener. I was just curious as it is a meerschaum 'cutty' pipe with an amber stem and a rather attractive silver band I was smoking this morning. I will try and post pictures tonight. Thank you for your input guys.
Pitchfork is just a great resource for this sort of information. I smiled when I saw the advert for Codd's patent bottles. I used to find those every time I dug too deep in my kitchen garden when I had the cottage in the U.K long before I came to the colonies.
