I've only ever bought my estate pipes from eBay and from antique stores (when I get lucky). I find eBay to be a reliable source, but it can also be overwhelming. SPC is good too but is often outside my price range. Are there any other sites where you buy your estates?

Ash, totally forgot about Etsy. I've found some amazing deals there. I'll check out the others as well.

Not to the point, I know, but just to weigh in, I have been gifted two estate pipes and bought one from smokingpipes.com. Though many of my pipes are used enough to be homemade estate pipes, in effect, a few nearly 40 years old.

SP for my estate purchases: excellent service and very honest, candid condition reporting. One does pay a little premium, but SP backs anything it sells, taking away the worry of whether I am buying a lame pipe.

I've never used PipeStud or BriarBlues, but I've only ever heard great things from those two sites.

I've had great success through eBay over the last couple years, and have scored some amazing deals. Sometimes you just get lucky.
