I was listening to Joe Satriani's Surfing With The Alien, and found this live version of my favorite track from the album, "Always With Me, Always With You"

Satriani was one of those artists that influenced everyone indirectly. Great album though.

I have a nice old Ray Charles record I was spinning today on this old girl. I picked up my parents Dual 601 that was sitting in their crawlspace. Sounds absolutely fabulous on there.

Another vintage Zevon episode complete with street encounter (this time with 2 young ladies) and a piano performance in what was apparently his private studio in those early days (and this time he seems completely sober).
They rode against the railroads

And they rode against the banks

And they rode against the governor

Never did they ask for a word of thanks

Jud, what a great album! I remember, back in the day, my friend got this LP and we sat in front of his new Altec Lansing A7s and those 15in. woofers nearly landed in our laps. Paul Chambers was amazing. And, this album became one of our "test how good your stereo system is" LPs.

Thanks for posting this. Great music and great memories.
