Cabbie's Mixture for me. One time I was able to get my hands on some Penzance leftovers...damn smooth...

...but I'm curious about how different people define "smooth".
For me it's a balance between body, flavor and strength -- but that doesn't necessarily mean I would like it.
So, it's reasonable to say, "This blend is awful, but at least it's smooth."

For me, I define smooth as something that is enjoyable to smoke, tastes good and that is easy on the palate. I love English/Balkan blends but the latakia and turkish aren't smooth to me. I think of them as chili. I love a good chili - ranging from everyday chili to blow the top of your head off with spices chili. But sometimes you just want Mac N Cheese. Yeah, it's not as good or as sophisticated as a gourmet chili but it just hits the spot.
