What Do You Carry Your Pipe Tobacco In?

I had one of those Peterson combi pouches. Fit one pipe, a decent amount of tobacco in a lined compartment and tool /lighter. It gets bigger than your jeans pocket though so you might want to bring a designated carrier with you. Girlfriend for example. ::

Alabama doesn't have any laws regarding smoking, but a few cities have passed laws, but no one enforces them. There are a few businesses that have no smoking posted, but when I ask them, they say that pipes are fine, that they are intended for cigarettes only.

And, all of the big steak houses and restaurants still put ashtrays on the table, so...

I re-purpose 25g snuff tins to carry tobacco when I need to. They're smaller than pipe tobacco tins and durable.

In Australia they sell tanned kangaroo scrotums as tobacco pouches, but you appear to be anti leather :roll:

Michael, I believe so but cannot find a particular site. There are many 'kangaroo scrotum pouch' sellers out there so type that in and take a look.
When I mentioned these to a pal last year he said he was going to get one of his Australian pals to send him one for me. Not left the house in a month so don't know if he has it yet :roll:

You can smoke in bars and casinos here in Vegas. I was at a bar a couple years ago and lit my pipe....the bartender told me that only cigarette smoking was allowed. Never been back.

I can't imagine preferring cigarette smoke over a pipe. That doesn't even make sense.

I have a pipe and tobacco pouch combo that my wife got for me. Not real flashy I like it although it's kind of bulky and is hard to get my unused tobacco back out and into a jar. For this reason, like some of you have mentioned, I usually just carry my pipe in my jacket pocket. I need a little flap pouch so I don't take my tobacco in a zip loc when I do this. However, I usually carry a cigar versus taking my pipe when we go out as there is no smoking inside in savannah and we end up walking around a lot. Personal preference.

I have pouches, bags, baggies, empty tins, flaps, jars, pill bottles, etc... There are infinite things that you can put tobacco in. Mostly, I just put the tobacco in my pipes and grab a handful and toss them in the car seat next to me. Sometimes, I use an empty tin, sometimes just a baggie, sometimes I just take the whole tin. Really, don't over think this.
