I have several aromatics I love but want to find some non aromatics too love. I've tried Bell's Three Nuns and enjoy it. I would love to have some experienced suggestions for non aro's. Would you folks mind giving me two or three ideas?

I would suggest:

Orlik Golden Sliced

Peter Stokkebye- Luxury Bulls Eye Flake and Luxury Navy Flake

Escudo
I really suggest you try Orlik Golden Sliced as it is a nice easy introduction to flakes and to non-aro tobacco.

Wow! Even a cursory search at TR.com came up with well over 100 4-star blends rated by 50 or more reviewers (my criterion for popularity/enthusiasm).
There are so many different genres too! I think you're in for an extended exploration/adventure.

But, aren't we all?! :puffy:
ps. jndyer's short list above sounds good to me -- especially Escudo.

Ok here are my suggestions:
Virginia with a hint of flavoring = PS luxury twist flake

Light va/per + cavendish = PS luxury bullseye flake

Full bodied va/per = McClelland St. james woods

Cross over english/aro = McClelland frog morton cellar

Pain in the ass stoved virginia = Sam Gawith full virginia flake

Balkan = H&H blackhouse, H&H magnum opus or McClelland balkan beauty

These are the trial by fire blends. You'll want to keep a bucket close by and some chocolate. Having a defibrillator handy wouldn't be a terrible idea.
Good Lord, Michael! You trying to kill him?

All great suggestions. I've tried many, and would try the others. If you like burley, especially look at Cornell & Diehl burley blends of various kinds, and Peretti #52, among others. For Virginias, McClellands has quite an array of those, so study their offerings to find out what suits you most. So much to choose from. PC/Russ O.'s blend Fire Storm is a delicious one, as are many of his.

I'd prefer keeping it simply:eek:le standard by Mc Baren The Golden Extra, Mc Baren HH Old Dark and finally at last but not the least Amphora Original Brown, all them are not too weak nor strong but medium forte,

and one just not to forget: Orlik Golden sliced good value&constant quality costing only half of that what it is in Europe

I would try at least one Virginia, maybe something from McClellands, Wessex, Mac Baren, and/or Samuel Gawith?

I would also try an Engilsh, maybe something from G.L. Pease, Russ Oulette, and/or Dunhill?

I would also consider trying a Vaper, maybe Escudo or Fillmore?

Lastly, I second the Old Dark Fired recommendation.

Good luck and I hope you find something you enjoy. :puffy:
