In the past five years, there's been the question of exactly where the White Spot pipes were made and were they truly made in England. SmokingPipes just released this article via email this morning, which seems to point to England. I asked for confirmation.

Thanks for sharing, Al. The top photo certainly looks like somebody turning a bowl from an ebauchon. I guess I still wouldn't be surprised to find that a portion of their stummells are turned elsewhere before being finished in-house, but it's still very nice to see the veil drawn back a bit.

At those prices, The White Spot outfit can afford to make the pipes in London. Maybe by brain surgeons.

With my Dunhill experience, I'd pay more for the brain surgeon pipes.
