Thanks! That's a great post. My only problem is that I have a tin of Commonwealth with no stamps of any kind. No red logo, no UPC. Picked it up from a B&M a few years ago. I expect it's pretty well aged (tin seal is still good); when I decide to open it I'll probably smoke it as an old VA blend with some Lat and not a strong English.

I am not sure that is accurate. If you read some of the comments on both links, using that method people had tins not even made yet lol

At 3rdguy... I made up the SG table myself in a few minutes. It works a few months into the future. The Dunhill thing was put out by the guys at Smoking Pipes a long time back. It works fine for me. :nana:

I haven't found that much on Rattrays on the web as far as dating the tin. Some say it depends on the color of yellow used but I am it so sure how well that works.
