I know we have done this before, but it has been a while.
So what NEW music are you trying. I just turned on Eclipse by Imogen Heap. 2009 but new to me.

I just recently came across Nico Vega. Some pretty neat punky sort of sound there.

New as in just released or something we have never listened to before? Haven't listened to too much just released stuff, but I like to just randomly pick songs out that pop up on the Tube while watching a video. Stuff that they recommend along the genre I was listening to originally.
Currently selected the Bangles-Walk Like an Egyptian. Yes, I have heard it many times before, but it is always fun to bring back memories and replay old tunes. And it was top of the list of recommendations.

This is another new thing I was introduced to recently. Arvo Pärt, really interesting so...stirring in its progression and the pairing with the video is quite powerful. Good music for reflection and introspection.

@ichbinmuede: thank you for posting the Part, Magnificat very stirring. It's been a long while since I've heard any Arvo Part.
As for my own contribution to this thread. I have recently discovered a fantastic jazz singer who had incredible potential, but tragically committed suicide at 28 in 1960 after recorded only a handful of albums. Her name is Beverly Kenney. If anyone enjoys Ella, Holiday, or Vaughn this girl could have, in time, become as great. Her diction, phrasing, clarity, and vocal dexterity remind me so much of early Ella.

Man those threads are just friggin' full of interesting music. Good to be exposed to stuff you may not have known was out there.

I've been listening to "Old" music. Robert Johnson, Lou Rawls and the Animals. Fun stuff to learn on a Gretsch hollow body.
