I have had this pipe for some time and I have never been able to identify. Wondering if anyone has seen or heard of "Tower of London" pipes. I am thinking GBD or Charatan briar for a pipe shop of that name? It is a very large bowl (size of a Peterson House Pipe) with beautiful birds-eye and cross grain and only one minor flaw in the briar that I can see. In the end just a great pipe but thought some history might make it that much more fun. If you have any info I would appreciate it.

I don't know either, but I agree with Dave,

the grain & birdseye on that pipe are exceptionally outstanding!
Dixie,

you are the luckiest damn pipe-finder I done ever seen!
Thanks for sharing with us!

It has a shape very much like the GBD 508 and Codogan did a significant amount of "Private Label" pipe making, so your assumption that it could be GBD might be right. If it is the pipe would have to be one of their larger grades but there were several in the GBD line.
