McClelland is bringing out some interesting new blends, including a new entry in the Frog Morton series:

http://www.pipeshowonline.net/McClelland_FrogMortonCellar.php

There's a blend in honor of their 35th Anniversary:

http://www.pipeshowonline.net/McClelland_StaveAged35.php

Both blends feature barrel-cured tobacco and have a piece of the charred-oak staves in the tin.

There's also a blend that was developed for slow-smokig contests:

Good thing I hate alcohol flavored pipe tobaccos. TAD minimized this time.

I'll definitely be giving the new froggy a try even though I'm still on the fence with alcohol flavoured tobaccos, I love the other FMs too much to not try it!

Nice! Flavored styles are not my favorite, but I'll definitely give these a try! Maybe the flavoring will be a lot more subtle due to the unique "stave-aging". Seems pretty gimmicky, but could be great. :D

Doesn't sound like it's for me either. Can't imagine paying 15¢ a gram for a wood chip.

I might get some of the Froggy one just to see how it ages.
Pretty soon they are coming out with "Frog Morton in the Hospital" It has a rusty piece of metal in it for aging!

I got a tim of FM, still unopened...gonna have to pick up a couple of these...

as i read, the tobacco itself is not bourbon flavored, just the wood chip, to me, it won't have a strong bourbon flavoring, it might impar a tiny esscense into the tobacco

That just got me lost on the McClleland site for half an hour...
Exactly. Any time someone posts a link to anything, my entire day is shot.

Worst case with the included wood chips is I could poke some holes in the tin and put it my smoker when I make my next batch of ribs.
