A couple of interesting finishes I tried on these- The first one is a compact Bulldog with hand carved accent and oosic trim ring. Measures 4.7"long, 49 grams. Tobacco chamber 1.15 deep and 11/16 wide.
The Diamante Billiard with bamboo I'll do some variations on- it has a diamond blasted pattern. 25 grams. 5.5" long, Tobacco chamber 1.23 deep and 11/16 wide.

Great work, I love the bulldog. Will you be at the Chicago show this year?

That poor walrus! :crying:
You know you saw that coming.
Looks great Zack! Really like that pattern around the bulldog's bowl!

Oosic is walrus penis bone?
You'd have to ask a walrus to be sure, but that's what I've been told...:) (and man, when you sand that stuff, it really, really stinks...)I've worked with fossilized walrus teeth, mammoth ivory, etc...oosic is a really unique material...

Love the inlay on the billiard and the whole bulldog. A compact pipe with a presence, a clencher and a terrific take-along (except for dread of losing it).

Hey, I "know" that's not inlay on the billiard, but admire that it looks like inlay, like a Williamsburg (Va.} end table.
