Since photobucket did their dastardly deed, we have a bunch of broken threads.
If users would post a link to their photobucket albums that they use here, we could just go look at them. I did that yesterday by clicking on the stupid message from PB and then editing the link to get to the album. Worked fine.
I use flickr now, but as an example, here is the link to my Pipes album. Nothing special in it, but generally if one posts a link to a pic, the album is public.

I use my own webspace, named after grandma. I am not fond of Google anymore so I have my gmail forwarded to a fastmail account. It gives me some file space and I can load up about anything I want and link it. Used to pay annually, but 5$ a month plan seems pretty good.

Agreed.
I just went to an album (from the thread about jar labels). The pics are there, but I couldn't view the large versions, only the thumbnails. The large version link displays their stupid message.

There is nothing in the known universe, no sub atomic particle known or suspected, that is smaller than my desire to visit Photobucket. That site is an assault on my computer, pop up after pop up. Ad after ad. The one thing in life that is guaranteed, besides death and taxes, is that I will not follow a link to Photobucket. That place is the Typhoid Mary of image hosting sites. 8O
