Thank you! Yea, there is no shape number to the pipe... I contemplated smoking it for a long time.. But I figure, beautiful pipes were made to be smoked. I figure Ill never really sell it, just pass it down through the blood line.

My favorite and first Stanwell: this shape #10, acquired in 1969, designed by Sixten Ivarsson. A great smoker that never fails to deliver.

Really nice! And so many of them are from Denmark. :puffpipe:

Thank you :). They are all nice smokers and even the Italian-made is a fantastic pipe.

@ravkesef

Shape #10 is lovely and in 1969!!!
@buroak

Stanwell 95R is in one of those forms that are regarded as flake pipes in Germany.

Very comfortable for the hands!

menuhin, I just finished refurbishing my 95. I cannot wait to fire it up with some McClelland Dark Navy Flake.

I have actually been patiently looking for one Stanwell 90/91/95(R), I'm a straight pipe person so I prefer 91 most.

Ok this is my favorite Stanwell pipe if I can get an image to show up. I don't know much about it. I bought it as a restored estate pipe. The stem is starting to oxidize so I will buff it sometime.

I do have two Stanwells. A nice small Apple with oval shank. It is from 1988 and was made for the 10th Danish pipe smoking contest.

And then this strange little shape here, sometimes called "Nofretete":

I received my first Stanwell estate this morning, a Duett Huber Munchen no13, I didn’t find much info on the internet, I really like the shape and the finish on it, the brass ring (I guess) is a nice touch too! I had one bowl in it and it smokes very well. I am a new pipe smoker, so maybe some of you know more about this Duett collection.

Nice looking pipes.
I've been thinking about picking up a Stanwell for a very long time and just haven't pulled the trigger. Maybe 2016 will be the year.

Just got a new Stanwell today, my second. It's a Stanwell 251 shape in their "Handmade" series. The mat finish is very nice in the hand. The bowl interior is big enough and straight down: .83x1.5 inches, so the surrounding bowl feels huge and cool.

After you've paused longingly and reverently at Skaukatt's Tom Eltang Stanwell (just above)... Oh my goodness ---
Now, this is my new Stanwell Silkebrun 234. it is listed as a bent brandy shape, but weighs in at a hefty 2.4oz. The stem is flattened and very wide all the way out. The finish is, well, silky and nearly matte. Seasonally priced too, at $55.
