Those are the one's everyone keys in on, thanks. I had email communication with Marylin at Missouri Meerschaum about the 3 bowls in the cardboard box. She spent a bit of time researching it and said the best she could tell me was they were made in the early 20's and the sold for $18 per gross of sets!

Here's my newly repaired Country Gentleman, with its new lucite stem from Walker Briar Works. I had to put a hardwood plug in the bottom of the bowl and decided to treat it to a new stem while I was at it. Good to have this one back in the rotation and the stem was well worth it!

The day and pipe with which I finally achieved that "a ha" moment with VA's. A wonderful day this was!

You all have some very unique and rare cobs I must say. Enjoying this thread about cobs I never knew existed. Here's the cobs I presently own. Nothing rare or unique about them. Just good old smokers. I am 'doctoring' a couple up and plan on changing the stems soon.

Here's all the cobs I own presently. This is a very bad thread. Now I'll have to keep searching eBay to find some of the beautiful cobs you guys have been posting. Very bad indeed!

Not rare or old, but I suppose this is as good of a place as any to share. I just order two pipes from Old Dominion Pipe Company. This one is their "Laughing King" model, and is a great smoker.
The bowl is on the small size, (my pipe tool fits perfectly) but is pretty tall and makes for a good smoke. I really prefer the bamboo bit to the plastic ones.
This one is a nice cool smoker and fits in great around the campfire or exploring the forest.

I included my Jarvenpaa puukko knife in the last one, which I always have with me.

Here are a few reed/bamboo stem antique and vintage pipes in my collection.

Top row (left to right): early H&B, early MM with Geo. Washington trademark logo, H. Tibbe & Son MFG Co., WWI era natural cob with "Smoke Edgeworth Tobacco" label
Middle Row (left to right): 19th C. small natural Indian corn cob pipe (unidentified, probably child's or lady's pipe), Missouri Sweet Corn Cob Pipe, Washington Cob Pipe Co. (label reads: "THE GREETERS - Oregon State Hotel Clerks' Association - SMOKER - DECEMBER 7th, 1915 - TO OUR FRIENDS"), late (20th c.) H&B
Bottom: "MacArthur" style Buescher

Butterfield,
Glad you like your Laughing King pipe and that it's a good smoker for you. Like you, I prefer the bamboo stem on a cob pipe as well.
