I was so pleased with this my recent Stanwell acquisition from Estate pipe shop.co.uk (now I know what means the difference between estate pipe and fully restored ones)that I decided to go after this lean Savinelli Capri root 701 model, grated, pipes seen on this very site may be not the cheapest ones one can find but the restoration job he's doing is quite spectacular.and shop service is second to none

I have always liked the Capri rustication; those old Savinelli's are smoking machines! Dean does do an excellent job, both in his restoration and his service, I know about it first hand!

You could call it a poor means's Sea Rock, but it's still a fabulous finish regardless. I love all 3 of mine & will never unload any of them!

My Sav's are work horses, and the whole family of long-shanked Canadian similar pipes are, to me, the stateliest shapes.

Is way true that, Orley. One of my weaknesses too. Compact, all business, & yet elegant. I need to go to bed before I trap myself into searching one up! -laugh-
